Former Vici Gaming offlaner Li “niu” Kongbo is joining PSG.LGD for the last and final tour of the Dota Pro Circuit.

Niu is set to replace 24-year-old Malaysian offlaner Nicholas “zeal” Lim in the powerhouse Dota 2 organization.

PSG.LGD Parts Ways With Zeal

The team finished second in the DPC China 2023 Tour 2: Division I after putting up a 6-1 win-loss card but failed to carry their momentum in the Berlin Major where they only managed a 9th-12th place campaign.

PSG.LGD was able to qualify for the playoffs of the second major of the year but lost to reigning The International champion Tundra Esports in three games in the first round of the upper bracket before losing to SEA team Talon Esports via sweep in the lower.

On the other hand, Niu and Vici Gaming got booted out of Division I after falling to the seventh place with a 2-5 standing.

This move by PSG.LGD to acquire Niu is seen as a strategic one, as the team aims to strengthen their lineup and improve their chances of winning future tournaments.

With Niu’s experience and skills as an offlaner, he is expected to complement the team’s existing players and bring in a new level of synergy and coordination.
