ECHO completed its season sweep of Blacklist International after sweeping its way to the MPL Philippines Season 11 title via a dominant 4-0 sweep at the SMX Convention Center on Sunday night.
The Orcas won all of its three series against the Tier One-backed squad in Season 11, extending its winning streak over Blacklist International to four games since the M4 World Championship finals.
This is ECHO’s first-ever title in the MPL. The team came close to reaching the feat in Season 10 but was denied by Blacklist International in the finals.
Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, and Alston “Sanji” Pabico all brought their A game against the erstwhile champions but it was Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya who stood out the most in the series.

For his efforts, the 16-year-old Sanford was awarded the Finals MVP award. He became the third consecutive EXP laner to win the award after Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo of RSG Slate PH and Edward “Edward” Dapadap of Blacklist International.
ECHO, along with Blacklist International, will represent the Philippines in the upcoming MSC in Cambodia.
