Team Lunatix head coach Paolo “Pao” Villanueva broke to tears following his team’s elimination in the MPL Malaysia Season 11 playoffs on Saturday afternoon.

The team was a win away from scoring an upset over Team SMG and advancing to the lower bracket finals but Team Lunatix failed to sustain their momentum and dropped Game Three of the best-of-three series.

During the post-match interview, Pao was seen crying as the team delivered their final message to their fans.

The former Nexplay EVOS head coach eventually thanked their supporters and confidently said that Season 11 is just a big test for Team Lunatix. He also vowed that the team will come back stronger next season.

“I have no voice but thank you. This season is just a big test [for us]. We’ll be back,” said Pao.
