The League of Legends Pro League (LPL) in China has announced a new partnership with Durex, a brand that sells condoms and lubricants.
This collaboration will include featuring the brand during the regular broadcasts of the LPL, the upcoming Mandarin broadcast of the Mid-Season Invitational, and the World Championship, according to the league’s post on Weibo.
It’s noteworthy because LPL already has several notable brand partnerships, including Intel, TGIF, OnePlus, War Horse, and Mercedes Benz, among others.
Durex previously collaborated with Naraka Bladepoint, a battle-royale game, in 2022.
While there’s no word yet on whether Durex will further pursue partnerships in the esports industry, this is a positive start for increasing their brand recognition.
