Execration Punches Last SEA Ticket to Berlin Major

Execration pulled off a massive reverse sweep against Army Geniuses, 2-1, to claim the last ticket to the Berlin Majors in the Dota Pro Circuit Southeast Asia 2023 Tour 2: Division I last Friday.

After losing Game One, the Filipino Dota 2 squad took a dominant Game Two win before gutting out a tight victory in Game Three which lasted for 41 minutes and 24 seconds to secure their second consecutive Major trip.

Execration will join Talon Esports and Team SMG as the region’s representatives in DPC’s second major of the year which will be held in Germany.

Talon Esports, who currently sits at 6-0, has already secured the top seed while Execration (5-2) and Team SMG (5-2) will figure in a best-of-three tiebreaker for the second seed.

Meanwhile, Army Geniuses (4-3) fell at the fourth seed while Blacklist Rivalry, who already missed the Lima Major, will once again miss a Major after settling for the fifth spot with a 3-4 standing.

Polaris Esports, on the other hand, is already out with a 1-6 standing and will be relegated down the Division II in the next tour while Geek Slate (1-5) will try to win its final match against Talon Esports to force a tiebreaker with the 2-5 Bleed Esports.
