Former Dota 2 star Ame has a pessimistic view of the Chinese Dota 2 scene for the upcoming Riyadh Masters.

According to a Tweet by user @Tr1H4rd3rDota2, the pro player turned full-time streamer isn’t too keen on returning back to the pro stage in Riyadh Masters.

The tournament is one of the most looked-forward-to majors this year, with a whopping $15 million prize pool. Unfortunately, that prize pool doesn’t faze Ame one bit.

In fact, he even allegedly stated that Chinese teams won’t have a chance in that tournament as well.

The Chinese Dota 2 scene is in shambles in the past few years after failing to get a win in any major TI tournaments.

Things got worse for the region when two of the region’s representatives in the Lima Major this year, Knights and EHOME, were accused of match-fixing.

Many of its players were eventually banned after Valve banned more than 40 players in China’s DPC.

Riyadh Masters will begin sometime in July.
