Wise Claps Back at Ribo: ‘At Least Nasa MPL Pa Rin Kami’

Danerie “Wise “ Del Rosario clapped back at MPL veteran CJ “Ribo” Ribo following the latter’s comments about Blacklist International’s struggles in the ongoing MPL Philippines Season 11 regular season.

Ribo was interviewed by MPL Philippines host Mara Aquino right after Blacklist International won Game One against Omega Esports in their Week 6 encounter. The Hall of Legends inductee was asked to list down teams that he thinks got weaker in Season 11.

“Yung mga nasa huli, TNC. ‘De pero sa tingin ko ang humina Blacklist [kasi] dati lagi silang top one e. Ngayon parang tinatalo na sila ng Bren [Esports] saka Omega or ECHO,” said Ribo.

Blacklist International eventually bagged the series via sweep.

Mara then asked Wise during the post-game interview for reactions about what Ribo said. The Blacklist International jungler said that the team already dominated the league before eventually sliding into the league’s mid-tier.

He then hit back at Ribo, saying that at least Blacklist International is still in the MPL.

“Ano ba… okay lang ano matagal din naman kaming nag-dominate bago kami humina. Saka at least ano, nasa MPL pa rin kami,” said Wise.

Ribo took a break from the MPL scene in Season Nine before eventually leaving Bren Esports in the following season. He eventually found himself in an amateur squad, ZOL Esports, which was invited by the MPL Philippines to be part of its inaugural MDL season.

ZOL Esports, unfortunately, failed to live up to expectations and got eliminated after posting a league-worst 1-10 record.

Ribo has yet to comment on Wise’s remarks.
