Pheww Names His Three Hall of Legends Candidates

Bren Esports team captain Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel named his three candidates for the MPL Philippines Hall of Legends, Friday.

According to Pheww, the Blacklist International duo of Salic “Hadji” Imam and Edward “Edward” Dapadap top his list along with his head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro.

“Yung dalawang player si ano siguro, si Hadjizy tiyaka si Edward. Tapos yung coach naman si Coach Duckey,” said Pheww, who was inducted into the league’s Hall of Fame last year alongside 10 more individuals.

After the inaugural ceremony in Season 10, the league announced that it will induct one player into the Hall of Legends per MPL season. Like before, the players, media, stakeholders, and the fans will comprise the voting committee.

Hadji has been in the MPL Philippines Season Two before deciding to skip the ongoing Season 11. Before making the jump to Blacklist International, the pride of Valenzuela City solidified himself as one of the league’s top players after leading Omega Esports to the finals of Season Nine and, eventually, in the M2 World Championship.

He went on to win two MPL PH titles, a Southeast Asian Games gold medal, and an M-series title with Blacklist International.

Meanwhile, Edward won two Finals MVP in Blacklist International’s three title runs in the MPL Philippines. He also has an M-series championship under his belt.

Lastly, Duckey steered Bren Esports to a dominant campaign in the MPL Philippines Season Six before guiding the team to the M2 World Championship – the country’s first-ever in the M-series.

“Parang hindi lang kasi napansin na matagal na din siya sa ML eh. Since season 5 lang siya napasok sa ML PH eh [MPL PH]. Pero matagal na din siyang nag-cocoach sa Indonesia eh. Tapos ayun nga, simula M1, M2, napanalo niya parehas.”
