Rumors of Red “Super Red” Bordeos sitting out the rest of the MPL Philippines Season 11 sparked when the rookie gold laner tweeted such just hours after Blacklist International’s 1-2 loss to defending world champion ECHO last Friday.
The speculations grew even more when Blacklist International decided to promote Howard “Owl” Gonzales to its MPL roster.
However, Blacklist International head coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani squashed the speculations, clearing that Super Red is still part of the team’s plans moving forward.
Master the Basics said that the reason why they brought in Owl is because they are still in the process of finding the right combinations for Blacklist International’s title-retention bid.

“Yan yung dini-discover namin ngayon, gaya ng sinabi namin before, right now wala pa kaming final na lineup. Until now, priority pa rin namin is mag-improve. So naghahanap kami ng ways kung paano ma-i-improve yung team,” explained the content creator-turned-coach.
Meanwhile, team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna doubled down on what Master the Basics said and said that the match against TNC is not Super Red’s last opportunity.
She also said that Super Red has the potential to be a great player and he still has a lot of opportunities to prove himself moving forward.
“Actually hindi pa naman niya (Super Red) last match talaga. Kaya pinasok namin si Owl [sa MPL] para mag-explore pa kami ng bagong strategy and may reason naman kung bakit si Red yung kinuha namin,” said OhMyV33NUS”
“Talagang may potential naman siya and hindi pa naman ito yung huli niya. Marami pang pagkakataon para patunayan yung sarili niya,” added the reigning MVP.
Owl has yet to suit up for Blacklist International while Super Red recently helped Blacklist International bounce back from their loss to ECHO by taking down TNC via sweep last Saturday.
