E2max Preaches Patience to Omega after Game 1 Collapse Vs Onic

Omega Esports was given a dose of its own medicine when Onic Philippines pulled off a stunning comeback in Game 1 of their second round matchup in the MPL Philippines Season 11.

Already having the game on its hand, Omega, ironically branded as the ‘comeback kings’, suffered a huge collapse against the Hedgehogs in Game 1 before recovering just in time to pull off a reverse sweep.

Still, coach Patrick “E2max” Caidic, former star player known for his shot calls that paved the way to Omega comebacks in the past, was quick to remind his players to be patient when closing out games.

“Sinasabi lang namin sa kanila na pagdating ng mga ganung late game wag nilang madaliin na tapusin yung game kasi kung sino yung mas mahaba yung pasensya sa ganung late game sila talaga yung mananalo,” said E2max.

If there’s someone who is very much familiar in authoring such thrilling come-from-behind, that should also be E2max who in the past has led Omega to a numerous improbable comebacks against some of the best teams in the league

“Before nung kami, kahit wala na kaming tower yun lang patience lang kasi magkakamali at magkakamali yung kalaban which yun nga nangyari sa min yun,” added the former player turned coach.

E2max added the team should instill more discipline with their games and veer away from high risk engagements especially if up by a wide margin.

“Pinaalala lang namin na dapat sure kayo kung matatapos niyo yung game kailangan sure kayo alam niyong matatapos. Wag kayong darating sa point na magririsk kayo kasi lamang na kayo eh. Dapat di na magrisk kasi kaya namang talunin ng paunti unti, mas okay pa rin yug low risk na matapos para wala tayong chance na macomeback,” he preached.
