HomeBois finished strong in the first week of MPL Malaysia Season 11 with two series wins over Team Secret, 2-0.

It was a dominant performance all around, but Indonesian import Rizky “Warlord” Agustian made the most significant mark in the game with the off-meta pick in game one of the series on Sunday.

Using Odette, he was able to dictate the tempo throughout game one. Warlord finished with a respectable four kills, one death, and four assists.

This marks the first time Odette has been picked in all three major MPL tournaments in Southeast Asia, despite not being a popular choice due to her lack of mobility.

in the post-game interview, coach Steve “Dale” Vitug talked about the reason behind the unusual pick.

“Actually pinapractice na namin sya, one time nung naglalaro kami ng scrim at nagkakalokohan lang nakita namin yung potential nya. tapos nung nakita namin na yung draft nung first game, sabi ko sa team na pasok yung Odette,” he said.
