The VALORANT Championship Tour (VCT) is set to introduce a new structure that will give teams a chance to compete at the global level. One of the three international leagues that will be part of this new VCT structure is VCT Pacific, featuring the best teams from Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, and South Asia.
The tournament will run for 10 weeks from March 25 to May 28, and will take place at the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea. Ten teams will compete in VCT Pacific in a single-round-robin, League Play format over eight weeks. Matches will be played in a best-of-three format.
SEA teams Team Secret, Rex Regum Qeon, Talon Esports lead the cast of teams that also included Detonation FocusMe, DRX, Gen.G, Global Esports, Paper Rex, T1, and Zeta Division.
The top six teams will advance to the Playoffs stage, where they will compete in a double elimination format in best-of-three matches. The semi-finals and grand finals will be played in a best-of-five format.
Teams participating in VCT Pacific will be fighting for a total prize pool of USD 250,000. However, the stakes are much higher than just the prize money. The top three teams from the Pacific league will qualify for the Masters tournament in June, where they will face off against the best teams from other international leagues in Americas and EMEA.
The top teams from VCT Pacific will also qualify for the Champions tournament in August, giving them a chance to compete for the title of VALORANT world champion. Meanwhile, other Pacific teams will have one more chance to earn a slot at Champions through the VCT Pacific Last Chance Qualifiers in July.
The excitement surrounding VCT Pacific is palpable, with fans eagerly anticipating the intense battles between the best VALORANT players in the Pacific region. The tournament promises to showcase the talent and skill of these teams, with the opportunity to compete on the global stage providing added motivation.
The 2-day Finals of VCT Pacific will be held in the Jangchung Stadium, adding to the excitement of the event. Fans can look forward to watching their favorite teams compete for glory, as they strive to represent the Pacific region at the Masters and Champions tournaments.
