In an unexpected turn of events, Execration parted ways with head coach Park “March” Tae-won last Wednesday.

March played a key role in helping Execration take the top spot in the Dota Pro Circuit Southeast Asia 2023 Tour 1: Division 1 where they posted a league-best 6-1 win-loss record. They only lost to Geek Slate via sweep during the second week.

March Joins Execration as New Coach

“We thank March for his contribution to the team, as he helped us big time in bringing the team to Lima Major 2023 and we wish him luck on his next journey as we part ways with him,” said Execration in a Facebook post.

The team qualified for the Lima Major but underperformed throughout the group stage. They finished with six draws and a loss, ending up at eighth place in Group A.

Execration failed to qualify for the playoffs and capped off its Lima Major stint at 15th-16th.

March has yet to announce his plans for the second tour.

The DPC SEA second tour will begin on March 13 with Polaris Esports and Army Geniuses joining Execration, Geek Slate, Talon Esports, Blacklist International, Team SMG, and Bleed Esports in Division I.
