Team Secret Parts Ways with Resolut1on and Zayac

Dota 2 powerhouse Team Secret has announced that it has let go of Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynokw and Baqyt “Zayac” Emiljanov from its squad.

In an official statement on Facebook, the organization confirmed that the players have been placed on the inactive roster and are free to explore other opportunities.

“They will be placed on the inactive roster until we can find a fitting home for them. We thank them for the crazy journey we shared and wish them the best ahead,” said the organization.

This decision comes after Team Secret’s recent relegation to Division 2, marking its worst performance as a team since the regional leagues began.

With their goals of making it into The International 12, the team must win the Summer Major for a chance to enter the regional qualifiers at best.

In a worst-case scenario, they will enter the last chance qualifiers once more, as they did in the last TI.

Resolut1on joined Team Secret in August 2022 and helped the team improve significantly, finishing third-fourth at the Riyadh Masters 2022 with a series victory over PSG.LGD.

His synergy with Zayac in the offlane was also a highlight. Team Secret finished second at The International 11 (TI11) thanks to this roster change.

However, the departure of Michał “Nisha” Jankowski had a consequential impact on the club, resulting in relegation to Division II.
