All the abilities of Dota 2’s newest carry hero — Muerta

The highly anticipated Dota 2 hero, Muerta, has finally been released with the game’s latest update, the Dead Reckoning Update, which went live on Tuesday, March 7th.

This latest addition to the popular online multiplayer game is a carry that specializes deals damage to multiple enemies at the same time and can start team fights with his massive area-of-effect slow.

Her ultimate ability allows her to transform into a revenant that’s immune to physical damage and is capable of dealing magic damage to her enemies.

Muerta is the 124th hero to join the game’s expansive roster of unique characters. Primal Beast, the game’s 123rd hero, was released in the 7.31 update in February 2022.

In addition to Muerta’s release, the game is also introducing the Dead Reckoning minigame, which will be active from March 6th to April 4th. Players will receive an assigned target at the start of every game and will earn points for kills and assists on their targets.

These points can then be traded for the new Dead Reckoning Chests, which include new event-themed cosmetic item sets.

Overall, the addition of Muerta and the Dead Reckoning minigame are exciting new features that are sure to keep Dota 2 fans engaged and entertained.

Here’s a brief rundown of all her skills.

First ability – Dead Shot

  • Muerta fires a ghostly trickshot at an enemy unit or tree. When the bullet strikes, it damages and briefly slows, then ricochets in the targeted direction. 

Second ability – Dead’s Calling

  • Summons a group of 4.0 revenants that slowly circle the targeted location. Enemies within the area are slowed and have reduced attack speed. Revenants deal damage and silence enemies as they pass through them.

Third ability – Gunslinger

  • Muerta’s attacks have a chance to fire a second shot at another target, prioritizing Heroes.

Fourth ability – Pierce the Veil

  • Muerta transforms, becoming immune to physical damage. All of her attack damage is dealt as magical damage. Muerta gains bonus attack damage and phased movement. Muerta can attack ethereal units, but deals no damage to Magic Immune targets.
