Here’s a sneak peek of Gekko, Valorant’s newest agent

Valorant fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of the game’s 22nd agent, Gekko, at the upcoming VCT LOCK//IN tournament.

However, some fans have already gotten a sneak peek at the new character’s appearance, thanks to a leak on social media.

The leak was first shared by Twitter user ValorLeaks, who also revealed that Gekko is an Initiator.

In a State of Agents address on the PlayValorant Twitter account, it was confirmed that there will be three new characters added to the game this year.

Lead character producer John Goscicki provided some insights into Gekko’s abilities in a recent video.

“Soon, Agent 22 will be joining the fight, bringing their own eclectic way to deal with situations, new ways to check corners, get onto locations, [and] plant the spike,” he said. “The battlefield can be a super stressful place. Sometimes, you just need some friends with you, chilling with you as you walk down a path to the next bomb site.”

Based on the leaked images, Gekko seems to be an eccentric character with yellow buzz cut hair, wearing an outfit similar to freedom fighters and carrying a large green orb, which might be one of his agent skills in the game.

It’s also possible that he has a robotic owl as a pet or companion that can assist him in battle, based on a teaser image from the video.

Fans will get an official look at Gekko during a streamer show match prior to the grand finals of VCT LOCK//IN.

Until then, they will have to wait and see how Gekko’s unique abilities and appearance will affect the game.
