Yatoro Boots Out PSG.LGD as Team Spirit Advances

Team Spirit booted out PSG.LGD from the Lima Major after a thrilling 2-1 victory in the opening round of the lower bracket playoffs.

The Eastern European squad drew first blood in the series after Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk’s Lina secured an Ultra Kill during the final clash near PSG.LGD’s base.

Yatoro finished with 10 kills and nine assists against four deaths to lead Team Spirit’s tight 25-25 Game One win in 43 minutes and 39 seconds of action.

The Chinese squad bounced back in Game Two behind Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang’s impressive Storm Spirit performance. He scored a perfect 16-0-11 KDA line to take charge in the dominant 32-9 bounce back win in 39 minutes and 53 seconds.

After struggling in Game Two, Yatoro came alive for Team Spirit in their most important game and fired nine kills and eight assists against one death on Drow Ranger to power the team’s 25-11 Game Three victory that propelled them to the next round.

Team Spirit will face the winner of the Talon Esports-Hellraisers match in the second round while PSG.LGD will end the tournament in 9th-12th place.
