Riot Games Unveils Plans for VCT Masters Tokyo! Here’s What You Need to Know

The stakes are high for the upcoming VCT Masters Tokyo, this year’s second international Valorant event.

Riot Games has revealed more details about the upcoming tournament, including its schedule and team distribution per region. The announcement was shared through a blog post today February 24.

According to Riot Games Esports Comms Anton Ferraro, the road to the Masters this time will be long and difficult.

After LOCK//IN, teams will head to compete within the three International Leagues namely, Americas, Pacific, and EMEA.

Two leagues will qualify three teams for Masters Tokyo. The winner of VCT LOCK//IN will earn their region an additional slot for Masters Tokyo.

It will also feature a 12-team double elimination, with two representatives from China this time around.

The tournament will happen from June 11 to 25 in Japan. The exact venue has yet to be revealed.
