Redditors Suspect ‘Odds’ Cheating in Knights vs Geek Slate Game at Lima Major

Several Reddit users are making serious accusations against unnamed betting sites in relation to the Lima Major match between Geek Slate and Knights.

In a post on the official Dota 2 subreddit, user Widepeepo6 claimed that there is suspicious activity taking place on Chinese betting sites during the series.

According to the post, during the first game of the series, despite the Knights holding a 5k net worth lead, the betting sites favored Geek Slate.

During the series match, another Reddit post claimed that the Chinese betting sites were giving Geek Slate a 1.01 odds favor, which seemed impossible given the Knights’ significant lead.

Widepeepo6 also mentioned a similar incident that happened during a DPC game against EHOME and expressed doubts about Valve’s ability to investigate the issue.

Many were quick to support the poster and said that Valve should look into the incident.

“Cheating allegation is serious, so I think Valve will take their time to make sure before they ban the player,” one comment wrote.

However, others disagreed with the post.

“It’s been said like 1000x that the stream has a delay and live odds do not. The fight where they got wiped out had already happened before the odds changed. They’re just bad,” another Reddit user wrote.

As of writing, the Chinese team sits at the bottom of the standings, having failed to secure a single victory in the group stage. Their game score stands at an abysmal 0-6, and they have lost all three of their matches in Group B.
