Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman sustained his fine start, steering Talon Esports to solo second spot in Group A of the Lima Major following another impressive performance in the middle lane.

Mikoto, who dominated the first day with his stellar Puck showing, took the spotlight once again for Talon Esports and outworked TSM’s Jonathan “Bryle” Guia and Evil Geniuses’ Jean “Chris Luck” Salazar to help his side score crucial wins that put them in second place with a 2-2-0 record – just a couple of games behind Group A number one Gaimin Gladiators (3-1-0).

The Indonesian mid laner, though, had a slow start after finishing with 10 kills, seven deaths, and 14 assists on Queen of Pain in Talon Esports’ 31-41 Game One loss to Evil Geniuses.

After getting thrashed by Chris Luck, who ended up with 14 kills and 11 assists against five deaths on Void Spirit in the same game, in the opener, Mikoto steamrolled and steered Talon Esports to a string of victories.

The former BOOM Esports star used Zeus in the second game and provided Talon Esports a bulk of damage, most especially in the game-winning clash during the 24th minute that allowed Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong (Nature’s Prophet) to secure a triple kill in the four-man wipe.

Mikoto also got a triple kill in a three-against-four situation that maintained Talon Esports’ momentum mid-game. He finished with eight kills and 14 assists without a single death and spearheaded the 31-11 lopsided win over Evil Geniuses in Game Two that helped them force a tie.

Mikoto picked up where he left off when Talon Esports took on TSM for their second match of the day, putting up a game-high 13 kills and 16 assists against two deaths on Zeus in the 40-20 Game One triumph.

He then unleashed a 14-4-20 line on Tusk in another dominant outing that saw them outscore the NA squad 40-15 in 51 minutes of play to end the day with a bang.

Despite the slow start, the 22-year-old up-and-coming mid laner managed to bounce back and prove that SEA mid laners still have the edge over mid laners from the Americas.
