Lima Major Standings: Entity Sweeps Day One

Entity was the only team in the Lima Major to sweep both of its matches after the first day, Wednesday at the Arena 1 in Peru.

The fourth-seeded team from Western Europe swept Geek Slate, the top-ranked team from Southeast Asia, and Knights, who finished third in China, to open the first Dota 2 Major of the year with a clean 2-0-0 record.

Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov, Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau, Tobias “Tobi” Buchner, Vladislav “Kataomi`” Semenov, and Dzmitry “Fishman” Palishchuk all impressed for Entity Gaming and helped their side claim the early lead in Group B.

Meanwhile, Shopify Rebellion and Team Liquid shared the second spot with identical 1-1-0 standings.

Geek Slate (1-0-1) and Team Aster (0-2-0) are tied at the fourth spot while beastcoast (0-1-0) and BetBoom Team (0-1-1) are at sixth.

Hellraisers, who lost both of its matches, and Knights (0-0-1) round up the group.

On the other hand, Talon Esports, Tundra Esports, and Gaimin Gladiators are all at the top of Group A with identical 1-1-0 standings followed by Team Spirit (1-0-1) and TSM (1-0-1) at fourth and Execration (0-1-1), Evil Geniuses (0-1-0), and PSG.LGD (0-1-1) at sixth.

Ehome was dead-last in the pool with a 0-0-1 slate.
