JessieVash Throws Shade at Team Liquid, Calls Them “Kids Who are Easy to Beat”

Team Secret achieved a major upset at the VCT Lock//In after defeating Team Liquid, 2-0, In the opening match of the omega bracket.

Fielding an all-Filipino team, they managed to eliminate one of the top-ranked European teams in the tournament, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by their star player Jessie “JessieVash” Cristy Cuyco.

During the post-game interview, the 33-year-old shared his perspective on the gameplay and gave some intriguing remarks about his opponents.

Despite being considered the underdogs, JessieVash expressed his confidence in his team’s capacity to secure the win.

“I believe that this outcome was what we anticipated, despite 90 percent of people worldwide expecting us to lose,” he said.

“I feel like we’re a better team, seeing as they have just been playing for a very short time,” he continued. “Seeing them streaming a lot, I really feel they’re just kids, and they’re so easy to read.”

In the first map of the match, Icebox, Team Secret got off to a strong start and held a 10-2 lead over Team Liquid. Despite Team Liquid’s gradual comeback, Team Secret maintained their composure and closed out the game with a commanding 13-8 score.

Moving on to the second map, Fracture, Team Secret continued their dominance and finished with a 13-7 score.

The Filipino squad will go up against Natus Vincere on February 26, 1 a.m. GMT+8.
