PUBG Mobile Esports (PUBGM Esports) on Friday, February 17, imposed a ban on Vigor Gaming following cheating allegations.
In an official statement released by PUBGM Esports, the organization has banned Vigor Gaming after a message showing that he’s involved in cheating popped up during his live dated January 7, 2023.
According to the organization, the Filipino player will receive a 3-year ban. PUBGM Esports also highlighted that they uphold a high standard of fairness which resulted in the ban.
The 3-year count will start on February 15 which will bar him from joining all PUBG Mobile Esports events.
“According to PUBG MOBILE Global Competitive Rules, we are imposing a ban on Vigor from all PUBG MOBILE esports events, competitions, and/or tournaments globally for a period of 3 years starting on February 15, 2023,” the announcement read.
“Given the nature of this violation and the timeframe, which falls within the PMNC PH period, wherein the violation occurred, Team Power PH will also be disqualified from the PMPL SEA Wildcard Spring tournament and shall be replaced by the team next in line from the PMNC PH,” it continued.
On January 17, a Telegram message popped up during Vigor’s live stream. Said message showed a message from a ‘HACKING HUB’ group and also an attachment that appeared to be an application.
Said application is assumed to be a cheating app that will assist its user during games.
In a live, Vigor says he was not updated on the issue. He says he was contacted by an official regarding the issue before.
He confirmed during his live that he was using an iPad during his games. However, he says he did not use any cheating application during any tournament.
