Kuku Pokes Fun At Armel After ‘LFT’ Post

Blacklist Rivalry offlaner Carlo “Kuku” Palad roasted his former teammate Armel “Armel” Tabios after the latter announced on social media last Thursday that he’s looking for a new team.

Just recently, Fnatic announced that it will be shutting down its Dota 2 operations after carefully studying the team’s sustainability. The organization, though, allowed its players to finish their ongoing campaign in the BTS Pro Series Season 14: Southeast Asia before officially withdrawing from the title.

After Fnatic finished second in the BTS Pro Series, the 23-year-old mid laner tweeted that he is currently looking for a new squad to join for the second tour of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit. Kuku then retweeted his former teammate’s tweet, saying that Armel is a ‘good mid player [with] a little bit of attitude but will be fine.’ 

Armel first teamed up with Kuku back in 2018 where they helped TNC reach The International 8. They went on to lead the powerhouse Filipino organization to two more TI appearances before Kuku parted ways with the organization during the post-TI9 shuffle. The 26-year-old Filipino Dota 2 icon then jumpshiped to T1 before joining Blacklist International earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Armel stayed with TNC until 2021 before transferring to Fnatic in 2021 to team up with Polo “Raven” Fausto, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong, Djardel “Dj” Mampusti, and Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla. The team managed to qualify to The International 11 where they lost to Gaimin Gladiators in the first round of the lower bracket playoffs.

This season, the team added Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte and Damien “kpii” Chok but had an underwhelming campaign that saw them finish last with a league-worst 1-6 record in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 1: Division I and get relegated down to the second division.

In an earlier Facebook post, Armel thanked Fnatic for the ‘huge opportunity’ and for helping him discover a lot about himself that he can use in the future.
