Things got heated at the VCT Lock//IN tournament in São Paulo, Brazil.

After Cloud9 convincingly defeated Paper Rex, 2-0, to knock them out of the tournament, C9 head coach Matthew ‘mCe’ Elmore had something to say about the Southeast Asian team in a post-game press conference.

“Those guys were not very gracious winners behind the cameras after we got knocked out and I took the higher road on that and didn’t say what I wanted to say when I was fist bumping and up there with them,” he said.

What the C9 head coach was referring to was when Paper Rex eliminated the Guard, his former team, at the VCT Masters in Iceland.

“So I felt really good because that’s what should happen the first time if my last team had a little bit more experience. But you know, I can’t blame them at all, we tried. And man, it feels good to send those fucks home.”

Jordan ‘Zellsis’ Montemurro also had something to say as well after the controversial statement. “If you weren’t going to say it then I was,” he jokingly added.

Cloud9 will next face DRX in the second round of the tournament on February 19.
