What’s worse than celebrating Valentine’s Day alone? For gamers, it would have to be Valorant’s decision to nerf everyone’s favorite video game lovebirds in Valorant patch 6.03.

Valorant has released patch 6.03 yesterday, February 14. Killjoy, who has seen a sharp increase in popularity after the nerfs to Chamber, has been hit with the nerf hammer, a day before the most-awaited VCT Lock In tournament in São Paulo, Brazil.

The agent’s turret health has been decreased from 125 to 100. According to developers, this change will allow opponents to have an easier time destroying it, particularly with weaker weapons. It will also take one more point to activate her ultimate, reducing the frequency of it being used in matches.

As for Killjoy’s in-game partner Raze, she received a lighter nerf with the duration of her boom bots decreased from 10 seconds to five seconds.

The much-beloved Swiftplay mode, which was introduced last month, will also be a mainstay in the game, at least for now.

“Like anything else in our game, the team is going to continue to look for opportunities to improve the mode,” said Cloeman Palm, Product Manager of Gameplay on Valorant.

Patch 6.03 also has a few bug fixes as well such as adjusting the hair heights of some agents, allowing AI (such as Skye’s Seekers) to travel through a crouch-only connection, KAY/O bugs, movement and zipline improvements on the Fracture map, and resolving issues with the Marshal’s zoom feature and doors appearing incorrectly after disconnecting and reconnecting.
