The professional scene of Dota in 2022 has been very exciting with many highs and lows for the teams. Take a look at some of them!

As 2022 comes to an end, we take a look at what teams had done in the year. Many of them had their highs, while there were teams that had their lows as well.

Although the results varied, one remained constant; it had been an exciting year of Dota so far. Take a look at some of the highs and lows!

Highs: Tundra Esports Winning TI11

Although their performances surprised no one, it was a fairy tale for Tundra to win The International 11. They went from barely not qualifying for The International 10 to winning The International 11, with the same roster.

Performances of their cores such as skiter and 33 were named to be the reasons behind their success.

Highs: Team Secret Becoming Runner-Up of TI11

Team Secret had difficult times during their run at the 2022 DPC. They went for multiple roster changes throughout the year, trying to find the best solution to replace MATUMBAMAN and Zai.

However, their changes paid off as they managed to finish as runner-up of The International 11 with a fresh roster.

Lows: Alliance Losing to Team Bald During TI11 Qualifier

Alliance’s last iteration during their last run of DPC 2022 had probably ended some players’ careers. They went from a strong contender during The International 10 to losing against a team of streamers who did not even scrim during TI11 Qualifier.

As a result, Alliance revamped its entire roster with the hope to come back stronger in DPC 2023.

Lows: The Downward Spiral of Chinese Dota

The Chinese scene of Dota had been facing difficulties in recent times. The peak of their downfall was during The International 11 since none of their team managed to enter the finals of both the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket.

Many teams in the region suffered a reshuffle, including the almighty PSG.LGD with most of their players taking a break due to fatigue.
