With the release of 7.32d, Wraith Pact is now officially ‘dead’ due to the nerfs. Although indirectly, other offlaners are also more viable.

Wraith Pact has been the bane of every professional and public match due to its strengths. The item allows heavy survivability for the team carrying the item and has limited players of their offlane options.

The biggest change of the patch was the nerfs that Wraith Pact received. The aura of the ward no longer reduces magical or pure damage, making it affect only physical damage.

This change made the item no longer a must-buy item for offlaners, while also making other offlane heroes viable.

Previously, summon offlaners were the only heroes that were viewed to be viable. With the changes towards several offlane heroes as well, the hero pool got bigger for the offlane.

Heroes such as Doom and Dragon Knight are some examples. As they were not a Wraith Pact carrier, these changes enabled them to be viable again in the offlane.

However, the nerf also came for the heroes as well, specifically Arc Warden. Previously, the hero has been very overpowered to the point that fountain farming is feasible with their Aghanim Scepter’s Spark Wraith.

With these changes, Arc Warden can no longer snowball as fast as before, and his Aghanim rush build was considerably weaker than before.
