Virtus Pro Scouts Racist Player For New Roster

In another recent controversy, Virtus Pro is considering to offer a contract towards Alberkaaa, infamously known for his racist behavior.

Teams from the EEU (CIS) region could not catch a break from controversies and underperformance. Their latest champion, Team Spirit, dropped out of The International 11 quite early after losing against BOOM Esports.

Recently, another EEU team made a controversy, specifically with Virtus Pro trying out a player known for his racist tendency, Alberkaaa.

In one of the public games, Alberkaaa (Huskar) was shown calling Ammar (Sand King) with racist names during the game. This was taken two months ago, before the start of The International 11.

Players and fans were immediately up in arms against the player for his racist behavior. However, there were also contrarian opinion regarding pro players conduct.

There were comments on how Alberkaaa’s toxic and racist behavior would “fit right in” to Virtus Pro’s roster. Due to their roster’s infamous behavior, the team were labelled as a place to gather “problematic” members.

However, there were also fans calling out “cancel culture” regarding the pro players’ “trash talking” during public games. They had the opinion that community members tend to call out “lesser” players, but looked to the other way for the “popular players”, such as OG legendary carry, ana.

The discourse became a hotly debated topic, although the fact that Alberkaaa was a racist remained clear due to the chatlog “evidences”.
