Team Secret Finishes Strong After Beating Talon

Although they started from the LCQ, Team Secret proved their capability and finished Group B strong at 2nd after beating Talon Esports.

After a disastrous DPC 2022 season and lots of roster changes, many thought Team Secret wouldn’t cut it any longer. However, Puppey led the team to a respectable finish in Group B at the 2nd position after beating Talon Esports.

With this finish, they are guaranteed an Upper Bracket in the Main Event of The International 11.

The first game against Talon went on quickly as Secret took the driving seat early on. Nisha’s Shadow Fiend popped off from midlane and took control of the game while Talon looks cornered even by 15th minutes.

After continuously losing team fights, Talon decided to call GG by the 28th minute and look to concentrate on the next game.

Talon decided to mix things up by drafting Lone Druid for 23savage in an effort to catch their opponent off-guard. However, Secret looked ready and responded with Nisha’s Lina which decided the second game for them.

Nisha proceeded to dominate the whole map with Boots of Travel rush to dictate the tempo of the match. Although Talon tried to respond with Mikoto’s Leshrac, they ultimately gave up in the 36th minute. Secret took the full point from the game.

With this victory, Team Secret will face either the 3rd or 4th position of Group A. Both positions were filled with difficult teams, which were OG and PSG.LGD. However, with their current form, Team Secret would be expected to be at advantage against either of both teams.
