Despite the controversies surrounding TI11, the peak number of viewers for Last Chance Qualifier’s (LCQ) group stage reached 550,000.

Although people were dissatisfied with the production of TI11 so far, the viewers’ count seemed to disagree. The peak number of viewers for the group stage of LCQ had reached more than 550.000.

With this achievement, many were relaxed about the future of Dota viewership at the very least.

With the statistics from Esportcharts, it was revealed TI11 numbers for the LCQ had been quite high. Although the tournament was still in its group stage of LCQ, the viewers already numbered a half million.

The exact number of viewers for the tournament was 552,744, on 9 October 2022, with half of it being the average viewers.

The average viewers for the LCQ also numbered quite high at around 280,000. With many teams in various regions converging into a battle, it was expected that the tournament will grab a number this high.

However, since the tournament was still in LCQ, no one expected it to be at around 550,000 peak viewers.

This gave hope to the fans about the future of Dota itself, as it had been gloomy due to comments from talents and the production of TI11 itself. Many were worried that Valve would abandon Dota at the earliest moment after TI11 finished.

With the new high numbers of viewers, players hoped that Valve took another look at Dota and renewed their passion in developing the game.
