Dendi: Dota has Higher Skill Ceiling Than League of Legends

Dendi told his opinion while streaming that Dota has more skill ceiling than League of Legends. Indicative of a better game?

Although it was a long, old tired debate, Dendi once again stirred the pot by making a statement. He said that Dota has a higher skill ceiling than its riot counterpart, League of Legends.

He claimed that it was based on experience since he already has 2000+ games played at League of Legends back in 2011.

He explained his opinion while streaming with Grubby, a legendary Warcraft 3 player who’s recently playing Dota. Grubby at first was fascinated by the depth of gameplay that Dota has, which Dendi elaborated further.

“There’s a lot of cool things you can do (in Dota). It’s just so big. The field of outplaying is huge, insanely huge.”

Grubby also draws comparisons to another MOBA that he played before, which is HOTS (Heroes of the Storm). Dendi also proceeded to chime in about his experience with League of Legends.

“I played around 2000 games in League of Legends in 2011, I don’t remember if I told you. The reason why I stopped playing is that in comparison to Dota, the field of outplay in League is so much smaller.

Dendi even elaborated that the outplay deficiency turned him off from playing further into League of Legends.

Perhaps in another timeline, while League of Legends is equal in terms of outplaying with Dota, Dendi can be a legend in that game.
