Turns out Tundra Esports, one of the top contenders from DPC WEU, did not get an invite to ESL Malaysia. Is this due to citizenship reasons?

Tundra fans in Malaysia might have to hold their expectation since their team might not get an invite to ESL Malaysia. One of the big Dota streamers, Gorgc, leaked this while streaming on Twitch.

Gorgc himself is confused about Tundra’s absence in one of the biggest Dota LAN before TI11.

While streaming, Gorgc claims that he hass many “juicy” news that he cannot share to his viewers. However, he leaked one of the biggest news, which is the absence of Tundra Esports in ESL Malaysia.

“You know that LAN in Malaysia, that Alliance got invited to? Apparently, Tundra didn’t get invited, and that’s kinda crazy to me.” says Gorgc while streaming.

“I thought they will at least invite most big teams, but apparently Alliance got invited but not Tundra, the top 2 in the division. While Alliance is on relegation course to the Division 2.”

Fans are also understandably upset by the decision, but it seems the decision is due to political problem.

Due to political differences, Malaysia did not recognize Israel as a state, and as such forbid any Israeli to visit their country. This might pose a huge problem as 33 is an Israeli, and will not be able to attend the tournament as a result.

However, fans also complains that Tundra can simply get a stand-in to solve this problem.
