In recent years, mobile esports rose to fame alongside the development of mobile phones. As the developments continued, mobile esports followed through.

With this, the community has seen mobile esports as a legitimate esport. For the month of June, MPL PH S9 earned the grand spotlight for earning the Biggest Mobile Moment from Esports Awards.

For context, Esports Awards is the most prestigious esports awarding body.

Back in Season 9, the reigning MSC 2022 champions clashed against the former champion OMEGA Esports in the finals. Although RSG PH won in a dominant 4-1 fashion, the game appeared to be the most entertaining esport event for mobile for June.

Monthly, the awarding body honors worthy esports happenings every month. For the month of June, Esports Awards has featured the MPL PH’s finals.

Their video announcement has also featured Garena Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.

MPL PH’s Champs RSG: Quest for Redemption

The recent MPL PH Season 9 finals were an important event for RSG PH. The reigning MSC champs were on a quest to prove doubters wrong. This, since many fans, tagged the team as “chop suey” or a team that only looked strong but wasn’t in reality.

Currently, the team holds the titles of MPL PH champs and MSC champs. Their grand finals performance also created a way for its players Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo, Arvie “Aqua” Antonio, and Dylan “Light” Catipon to prove their doubters wrong.

Despite being viewed as “toxic” players in MSC, the team surely deserves all the glory which they worked hard for.

Now, the ‘Kingslayers’ are tagged as the ‘Kings of SEA’. However, their story is far from over as the team will now be working on the coveted title in the World Championship – M4.
