EternalEnvy, more known as EE-sama, retired after 10 years career and winning several titles, most notably Shanghai Major 2016.

After being missing from the pro scene for almost a year, EternalEnvy finally announces that he retired from Dota 2 professional scene. Although the reason behind his retirement is unclear, he is moving on to other endeavors for the time being.

EternalEnvy left a glamorous career behind him, and his legacy includes stints with legendary teams such as Team Secret and Speed Gaming.

EternalEnvy retires after ten years of illustrious career

EternalEnvy announces his retirement via Twitter after a prolonged hiatus from Dota 2 pro scene. He simply wrote “Retired Competitive” on his tweet to indicate retirement.

Many fans reacted to his retirement, as they wanted to see his high risk gameplay, which might not be rewarding.

There is also little information on what he will do for his future. However, it seems he is leaning to explore other games and ventures.

Brief history of EE-sama mark in Dota 2 professional scene

EternalEnvy started his career in Dota 2 as a player for the legendary Dota 2 team, No Tidehunter. He managed to gather players who will went on to be TI winners such as AdmiralBulldog and EGM in that team.

However, he was sadly kicked from the team due to the players wanting to form an all-Swedish team. Then, after rebranding as Alliance, they went on to win The International 3 without EternalEnvy.

The setback evidently did not make EE-sama discouraged from finding another team. He manages to scout another exciting upcoming player, Arteezy and Singsing, then went on to win MLG Colombus with Speed Gaming.

He found further success after getting invited to Puppey’s Team Secret, and won Shanghai Major 2016 with them.

Sadly, his career faced downward trajectory after unsuccessful stints with Cloud 9 and Team NP in NA region. After his latest unsuccessful run with Sadboys, EE-sama finally decided to call it a day and retires.
