Demonkite and Kelra are receiving mixed comments from the community following their brow-raising actions!
PH reps OMEGA Esports and RSG Philippines are viewed to be the toughest teams to beat in the ongoing MSC 2022. While both teams have been performing pretty well in both upper and lower bracket, many fans view their players as toxic.
Recently, Hyprgame uploaded a video of Demonkite trashtalking in-game multiple times. From “putang ina niyo,” (you son of a whore), to “TP TP ka pa, tanga!” (Taunting with TP? Idiot!), many members of the community have raised conflicting views saying it’s “toxic” and a “natural reaction”.
Apart from Demonkite’s hilarious quips, OMEGA’s Kelra has had his own spotlight as well.
After their winning moment, Kelra was seen doing his signature move, seemingly taunting the Malaysian crowd. In his action, the Filipino savage was doing a “crying” and a “sleep” taunt. To this, fans quickly tagged the player as ‘disrespectful’ and ‘unprofessional’.
With these, both Demonkite and Kelra are on the receiving end of mixed comments from the community.
In an interview with Hyprgame, Demonkite told that his reactions were only due to his overflowing confidence. Pertaining to his “trashtalks,” he says they were only supposed to hype him up.
The RSG PH player also specified that his “TP ka pa, tanga” quip were just answers to Orange’s multiple TP taunts.
“Yung Helcurt at Julian napapansin ko parang tumi-TP TP sila. Normal na laro lang naman sa amin pero napansin ko hanggang malapit na matapos yung laro, tumi-TP lang sila eh parang niyayabangan kami,” he said.
(The Helcurt and Julian I’ve noticed were just spamming their TP. It was just a normal game for us, but I noticed they were still doing it until the end. They were spamming TPs as if they were disrespecting us.)
For the other Filipino squad, another young star, Kelra, did a seemingly ‘disrespectful’ action. Right after their winning moment, the Filipino savage stood up, and taunted the fans with his signature “crying” action.
In an interview with Hyprgame, the team asked to whom Kelra was attributing his actions to. OMEGA’s star player told that it was for the Malaysian fans. He said that he was hearing the Malaysian crowd singing during the game.
He says these sounded like they were ‘trash-talking’ the Filipino squad.
“Para sa fans ‘yun ng Malaysia kasi parang minumura na nila kami nu’n, ‘di ko lang maintindihan. Pero kinakantahan kami habang dumadaan kaya ayun, nanggigil ako.”
Currently, both Filipino squads are fighting for survival down in the lower bracket. Later today, June 18, RSG PH fell to the hands of the Indonesian squad, RRQ.
Meanwhile, OMEGA seem to have found another familiar lower bracket journey. Dropping to the LB in their first series, the team have already found their way to the lower bracket semis.
The defending MSC champs are up against the Malaysian juggernaut Falcon. Winner of the series will be facing RSG Philippines for a grand finals ticket.
