Pure Kicked From VP For War Controversy

VP immediately removed Pure for the war symbol controversy.

VP (Virtus Pro) playing under the Outsiders name initially hoped to reach the Stockholm Major with the EEU DPC playoffs. However, one of the players, namely Pure, did a disgraceful act by depicting the symbols of the Russian war on the in-game map during the match.

For this carelessness, VP had to be disqualified from the DPC EEU, and they immediately kicked Pure from their roster.

VP immediately issued an announcement on the incident. They explained that after the game ended, they immediately investigated all related parties, including their own players. Valve and BTS, who have completed their investigation, announced that VP was officially disqualified because of this action.

With this decision, VP expressed their regret and also emphasized that they did not condone hateful actions. They also kicked Pure officially from the roster.

Apparently, their misfortune did not end there. Other VP players, like gpk, are already gearing up to find a new team. It seems they don’t feel safe anymore to stay on the team because of “too much” controversy.

Recently, VPs were also banned from competing at Galaxy Gamers 2022 due to their ties to the Russian oligarchs who supported the Russia-Ukraine war.
