Whitemon Claims Anti Mage Is "Not a Hero"

In one of the interviews after the match, Whitemon claimed that Anti Mage in the current meta is very bad, “not a hero”.

For Anti Mage fans, maybe Whitemon’s comments were quite worrying when he was in an interview. After T1’s victory against Execration, Whitemon became T1’s representative in the Winner Interview which took place at the end of the series.

In the interview, Whitemon shared his opinion about Anti Mage.

The interview took place after T1 beat Execration with a score of 2-0. Whitemon, representing T1, answered several questions about the match, including about Anti-Mage, which they had just defeated.

The T1 support player went on to say that Anti-Mage is currently “not a hero” due to the current meta. The current meta, which is very fast-tempo, makes the hero “dead”.

He explained that the meta in 7.31 is not suitable for heroes who need items to fight, such as Anti-Mage. This fast-paced meta requires a carry hero who can immediately follow the fight in the early minutes.
