Confident Flap Fulfills Promise, Sweeps ECHO Esports

Heading towards the fifth week of the MPL PH Season 9, bottom ranking Bren has made a statement against ECHO!

In a shocking and intense battle, struggling Bren Esports has swept the top 1, ECHO Esports! This massive upset occurred today, March 19.

Earlier, Bren’s EXP laner David “Flap” Charles Canon expressed his confidence ahead of their match.

Currently, the team is ranked last which shocked fans in their performance against ECHO. “If you lose confidence in yourself, you already lost before it even started. So always have confidence in your team and yourself,” coach  Paulo “Pauloxpert” Magno Munsayac said.

Relating to this confidence, Flap gave his comment during a post-match interview. The Bren player challenged ECHO’s top players 3MarTzy and KarlTzy.

“I’m so confident. 3Mar (3MarTzy ) and Karl (KarlTzy), both of you come to my lane, I shall beat both of you at the same time, no one can stop me,” he said.

In game one, Bren and ECHO had an almost-equal exchange with the gold lead just see-sawing between the two. KurTzy picked his iconic Fanny which seemed troublesome against Bren.

However, JOY BOY was able to equalize things with his Chou who locked crucial initiations for the team. Aside from the Chou, SUPER MARCO’s clint also popped off and opened several opportunities for Bren.

Empowered with a 7-8k gold lead, Bren took the game 16-minutes in.

The second game looked more one-sided for Bren in the early game. Taking the Harith pick for SUPER MARCO, the team was able to dance around ECHO Esports.

JOY BOY and Phewww also stood up for the team and utilized their kits in several crucial fights. With the biggest upset, Bren was able to take the series just under 19 minutes.

“Confident na ko last week pa. ‘Di ko lang pinapakita,” Flap told during the post-match interview. “Tuwang tuwa ako, tapos dudurugin ko yung bago niyang TZY brother,” he also told when asked about his feeling in fighting against his former teammate, KarlTzy.
