Dota 2’s Horrible Performance is Now a Big Issue

As one of the biggest online games, it is very important for Dota 2 to get fairly regular updates. If not, Dota will be left behind by other competing online games that carry out regular updates. Thankfully, they’re still doing that and there’s a recent update at 7.31.

However, it seems that the update comes with a performance issue that makes players lag when playing Dota.

A post on Reddit proves this by providing evidence that Dota 2’s performance is no longer “healthy”. He said that even with his Nvidia 3000 series GPU, he couldn’t reach 144 FPS.

That FPS number is the optimal limit to make the game looks very clear and smooth.

In fact, the user added that when he set the setting to Low, he still couldn’t reach 144 FPS. This was very abnormal, and he felt that there was an anomaly in Dota’s programming that caused this to happen.

Another comment in the thread also chimed in the same thing. Many hope that Valve can fix this performance issue so that players can play comfortably again.
