Virtus Pro Disqualified From Dubai Due To War?

Virtus Pro (VP) issued a claim that they were threatened with disqualification from the Gamers Galaxy Tournament because of the Russo-Ukrainian war.

The bad news comes from Galaxy Gamers 2022 which will start today. Apparently, Virtus Pro issued a statement that they were threatened with exit from the tournament or disqualification due to the Russo-Ukrainian war. They protested strongly against the threat that the tournament organizers made.

In fact, it doesn’t seem like this is a threat anymore, because VP is no longer in the game schedule.

Through Twitter, they announced that they received the threat from the tournament organizers. They explained that their organization received an ultimatum to issue a statement about the current Russo-Ukrainian war.

As an alternative, they get the option to play without tags or links to any country. This happens because VP itself represents Russia, which is getting protests from various directions.

Apparently, this is no longer just a threat, because the russian organization is not included anymore in the entire Gamers Galaxy 2022 tournament playing schedule. The majority of fans support this movement because of the existing rumors, Virtus Pro supports the war.

For this, they considered that it was inappropriate for Virtus Pro to participate in this global tournament that upholds sportsmanship and peace.
