S1mple Not Choosing Sides: Esports Out of Politics

S1mple is definitely not making the Russia – Ukraine conflict a simple matter.

Early this week, the world was shaken by Russia’s decision to invade Ukraine. This move was able to shock the worldwide community and has raised alarms from different people.

Apart from the alarmed people, there’s nothing more devastating than the victims’ stories themselves.

As per Na’Vi superstar S1mple, the conflict is not and should not be an issue for the esports world. According to the multi-awarded icon, esports is out of politics.

S1mple is born from Ukraine and earlier shared his condemnation over Russia’s move. The star, who’s currently competing in Katowice, did not hold back from giving his piece.

In an interview, the Na’Vi star addressed the fans by expressing his view over the conflict. S1mple called for solidarity and told his experience with Russian players.

The experienced CSGO icon told that he’s already played with players of different nationalities. “My whole career I played with Ukrainian players, I played with Russian players., and I played with American players.”

“… and all of them are GREAT guys. And right now, I stay with my friends, real friends,” told the player.

With his experience, he shared that he’s both won and lost with his teammates. “We win TOGETHER, and we lose TOGETHER.”

In his experience, he mentioned how his current teammates feel about the issue. “All of us want peace for Ukraine, and for WHOLE WORLD,” he said.

He also urged fans that they need to be humans first, for the world. “We all need to stay humans first.”
