HellRaisers Hands Team Spirit First DPC EEU Regional Finals Loss

HellRaisers gave The International 11 champs the living hell!

DPC EU Regional Finals is in for a royal rumble after the heavily favored Team Spirit just got handed a massive upset. Their 3-game series landed Spirit a 2-1 right after HellRaisers performed their best during the series.

The TI champs’ defeat is their first in the DPC, and will now be fighting for survival in the lower bracket.

Game 1 of the series made HellRaisers look like they were the bigger team to fry. Taking a Magnus offlane, and a Mars mid, the team were able to counter Spirit among different corners.

The Mars mid pick paid off for the team, as it was able to give space to both Magnus and Troll Warlord. Going in with full counter, the team took game one in 34 minutes.

The second game looked like a direct turnaround. This time, Team Spirit was able to see HellRaisers’ lack of a stunner which forced them to take disable heroes for themselves. The odd draft for HellRaisers wasn’t able to answer Spirit’s stun-heavy picks, disabling their supposed sweep. Spirit took the win 31 minutes in.

The third game was the stage where HellRaisers showed their inner demons. The underrated team took a fast-paced draft, centered on Razor, Outworld Devourer, and Lycan. Overwhelming the TI champs left and right, the team was able to collapse Collapse’s signature Mars pick.

Significantly, Collapse died four times in just 8 minutes. Having their offllaner’s items delayed, Team Spirit was not able to retaliate. Seeing this opportunity, HellRaisers ran over the team with greed, taking the game in 38 minutes.

Being in the lower bracket, Team Spirit will now be preparing for a game against the winner in PuckChamp vs Virtus.pro series. HellRaisers, on the other hand, will be facing the winner in the following series.
