‘We’ll Struggle’ Says Bon Chan as He Assures MPL Playoffs for Blacklist

Bon Chan sees Blacklist International’s future struggle for the upcoming MPL Philippines season.

Blacklist marked its name in the world for being the best team. After shocking in the M3 World Championship, the team also dictated the meta with their strong UBE strategy.

With Bon Chan, the team has become successful in dominating almost all of its games.

In TierOne’s CEO Tryke’s vlog, he discussed Blacklist’s future plans with the team. Together with Bon Chan and assistant coach Master the Basics (MTB), adjustments for the team were conveyed. All these come after OhMyV33nus and Wise announced that they’ll be taking a break from the scene.

Since the two are taking a break, Bon Chan told that the team will definitely struggle in the upcoming MPL. However, he also told that the team is sure to secure a playoffs spot.

“It’s hard, but I still believe that we can do it. Maybe on the first week or two weeks (we’ll struggle) but we’ll get to the playoffs, I’m sure of it,” he told.

Tryke agreed with the situation adding that he has seen the struggle first-hand. He explained that he saw how the team are having a hard time preparing for the upcoming season.

“First of all, new players, second, new strat (strategy), third, new team captain,” Tryke stated. You know, all the problems, mixed together, then get thrown towards Bon Chan,” he added.

Bon Chan, MTB to ‘Magic’ Team’s Way Out of Struggle

Assistant coach MTB conveyed that he and Bon Chan are concocting some ‘magic’ for the team. He revealed that the team will be showing something new for Blacklist’s brand of playstyle. “You will see it in Season 9, all the magic that Bon Chan made to help the team keep up with the improvements needed,” told the assistant coach.

Recently, Blacklist International revealed that they will be trying something new. Their previous success was tied up with their powerful UBE strategy which other teams found hard to counter.

This time, the team will be trying to use an assassin on their team. This is unique for them since they’ve always banked on sticking together instead of funelling a carry hero.
