Patch 7.31 Release Date Revealed!

Based on Valve’s announcement, the patch release date for 7.31 has been revealed! Finally, you don’t need to ban Spirit Breaker and Tinker anymore.

Many Dota players are getting fed up with the current patch which had been here for more than 5 months. From the dominating Collapse patch with Magnus, to Marci from Dragon’s Blood being released, many are looking forward to the new big patch. As it turned out, Valve slipped an announcement date for the release of patch 7.31 along with the regional tournament announcement.

Valve announced that as the Winter Major became impossible to hold, they would be holding a regional tournament. This tournament exists to distribute DPC points that should be in the Winter Major. The prize pool for this regional tournament is also quite large, with a nominal value of $100,000 USD.

Valve said that further details will be announced by each tournament organizer in the near future.

On the other note, Valve also answered questions from Dota players who were looking forward to the next patch. Valve said that patch 7.31 will be released as soon as the regional tournament (Regional Finals) is finished. Based on the existing schedule, the tournament will finish on 20 February 2022. That means, at the earliest, patch 7.31 will be released on 21 February 2022.
