EG Slaughters Quincy; Is It Too Late?

EG managed to kill Quincy Crew with a score of 2-0 complete with a comeback in the second game. But, is it too late because the major’s situation is not clear?

In the last match of Upper Division DPC NA, EG managed to beat Quincy Crew 2-0 to equal Undying’s points. EG managed to secure the first game comfortably. However, they had to work hard for the second game because they were far behind in the gold lead and managed to make a comeback. Will their efforts be in vain because of the unclear major status?

The first game belongs to EG thanks to Arteezy who is very on-fire with Wraith King. He is often praised by casters for his on-point movements and super fast pacing which overwhelmed Quincy Crew. The snowball effect occurred in the midgame, and EG took the first game casually and comfortably in the 39th minute.

The second game became a different story because it was Quincy’s turn to take over the early game. They appear to dominate with a very mobile lineup and a strong teamfight presence. Quincy even managed to grab the first rax and almost ended the game in the 52nd minute with Relocate.

However, EG showed their ability as a team and managed to make a comeback in the 54th minute by eliminating 3 Quincy Crew heroes who did not have a buyback. Quincy realized that they had lost and finally gave up in the 55th minute. With this win, EG gets full points and will go up against Undying for the last major Tiebreaker slot from NA.

Of course, this is still tentative, because the Winter Major situation is still confusing and there is no clarity from Valve’s side.
