ECHO and RSG PH will be joining the fray!
Earlier this week, SIBOL announced that the top four MPL PH teams will be joining its qualifiers in phase 2. Among the four teams are ONIC, Blacklist, NXP EVOS, and OMEGA Esports.
This time, another two MPL teams will be joining the qualifiers, but through phase 1. The first phase of the qualifiers will be open for amateur and professional teams.
The qualified teams in the first phase will move forward to phase 2 where they will be facing the MPL PH giants.
For the first phase, ECHO and RSG will be joining the onslaught between aspiring teams.
According to Echo’s team manager, and RSG’s head coach, their team registered for phase 1 as they were not directly invited for phase 2.
All the direct invitees for the event have already revealed their roster. Meanwhile, Echo and RSG will reveal theirs until the tryouts officially start.
While fans were initially happy with the announcement, many were dismayed as players 18 below will not be joining the conquest.
With SIBOL’s requirement, affected teams underwent changes to play for the qualifiers.
