Sibol is definitely setting up its slots for the best Filipino team!
The top 4 MPL PH teams have been invited by Sibol to compete in its MLBB qualifiers.
While the first phase of the qualifiers is already ongoing, the invited teams are set to play in phase 2.
The invited teams for phase two are Blacklist International, Onic PH, Omega Esports, and NXP EVOS.
Sibol will be representing Philippines in the upcoming SEA Games, under the esports category.
In 2019, the country is able to top other countries and earned the gold medal for Mobile Legends. This time, Sibol is working to defend its title by fielding in the best players through its qualifiers.
Two core members of Blacklist International will be unable to participate due to age restrictions.
In order to fill the gaps, the team has signed Kyle Dominic “Dominic” Soto and Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales to complete the roster.
Onic PH, on the other hand, has an underaged player under Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol. The team addressed the issue by signing Ralph “Flick” Benedict Hamoy who will play on his behalf.
Similarly, Omega Esports’ Duane “Kelra” Pillas also faces the same issue. To fill the gaps, Omega decided to sub in Borres “Outplayed” Villa and Cesar Jefferson “Amethyst” Santo from their reserves.
Meanwhile, NXP EVOS has no issues with their players’ age. Its veterans H2wo and RENEJAY will be playing alongside its rookies, Donut?, CADENZA, and MP THE KING.
According to Sibol, the team that will emerge victorious on its Phase 2 will represent the country. Time ticks as SEA Games are set to start on May 12, and it will be hosted by Vietnam.
