Welp… maybe KRÜ Esports’s former coach had his reasons?
Reports online claim that KRÜ Esports’s former coach Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro allegedly refused to quarantine resulting in a hot exchange between him and the security.
According to reports, Onur refused to quarantine and “protested with security” during the event.
Sourced from MitchMan, a VALORANT caster, the issue resurfaced after Onur lost his job from LOUD.
Similar reports claim that KRÜ Esports’s former coach lost his job due to his stance regarding COVID-19 vaccines.
“We turned up to Berlin, we know that there are a couple of players who were anti-vaxxers, and some who aren’t vaccinated… He was one of them,” told Mitchman in a podcast he attended.
“Apparently they had to put security outside his door because he refused to quarantine, then he apparently tried to fight them because he didn’t agree that he had to stay inside to isolate during the isolation,” he added.
Meanwhile, Onur explained his side through a comment on Reddit where a clip of his issue was posted.
According to the ex-coach, he did not pick a fight with the security. Rather, he claims that he was only protesting his side regarding his situation.
“I appreciate the clarification,” Onur told. “[I] am ‘difficult’ on those subjects, but that does not mean that I have done anything illegal or violent. I respect the rules because I love to work and I love VALORANT,” he added.
The former coach who brought KRU esports to the semifinals of VCT champions resigned from his seat on Dec. 15.
Onur was reportedly close to a deal with LOUD. On January 3, however, the coach aired that he was no longer joining the team. Suspicions suggest that the deal did not push through due to his anti-vaccine stand.
The ex-coach, then, clarified that he’s only against passports, not vaccines. He clarified that both stances are not the same.
“I am not anti-vaccines. I am anti-health passport, which is not the same,” he reportedly told.
