Bren’s Ribo Takes a Break Ahead of MPL PH S9

Bren Esports is making a huge change in its roster after the departure of KarlTzy and the break announcement made by Ribo for the upcoming MPL PH S9.

Bren Esports is the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines team that once raised the name of the Philippines on the world stage when they won the M2 World Championship. But, their performance in MPL PH S8 was less good when they didn’t make it to the playoffs.

In the past month, Bren Esports uploaded a post saying that their best jungler, KarlTzy, is no longer with the team. And now, KarlTzy has successfully joined ECHO to complete their roster for the forthcoming season. 

Ribo Takes a Break Ahead of MPL PH S9

Another surprise occurred when Ribo made an announcement on his Facebook that he would be taking a break for a season. Bren Esports now goes into the scene without one of their most experienced players. 

Ribo joined Aether Main’s roster in MPL PH S1 before Bren took over the team. The team managed to become the champion for that season. Ribo has made a history for himself in getting MPL champions twice. 

His biggest achievement to date was winning the M2 World Championship against Myanmar’s Burmese Ghouls. The intense play at the grand final proven that Bren Esports is the strongest at that time.

Judging from the departure of Bren Esports’ players, the organization is certainly facing a massive roster reshuffle. They have to work hard again to strengthen their unit for Season 9.

Previously, in the MPL PH S8, Bren Esports did not have a good performance. They are the team that has already built a huge benchmark in the Mobile Legends competitive scene in Philippines. But not sure what happened to them in the last season. 

The Philippine MLBB community was also shocked by Bren Esports performance in MPL PH S8 playoffs. That was the starting point of the end of their hopes in returning to represent the Philippines on the world stage.
